Join Key Assets New Zealand and make a real difference for tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau. In this role, you’ll work within our whānau preservation and foster care programme, supporting mokopuna when they cannot live with whānau and helping them return home or find long-term care.

Key aspects of the role:

• Work directly with mokopuna, caregivers and whānau
• Assess needs and co-design care plans
• Train, assess and support foster carers
• Coordinate service delivery

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified, registered social worker (or equivalent)
• Strong practice knowledge and ability to work collaboratively
• Passion for trauma-informed, evidence-based care

Join Key Assets New Zealand and help make a positive difference for tamariki and rangatahi in foster care. As a Support Worker, you’ll provide practical and emotional support to young people and their caregivers, including mentoring, group activities, transport, and supervised family contact.

Key aspects of the role:

• Support children and youth in foster care
• Assist with care and behaviour plans
• Advocate for young people within a team-based approach
• Ensure compliance with child protection and organisational policies

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in youth work or similar
• Energetic, empathetic, and confident in challenging situations
• Full NZ driver’s license and own vehicle
• Availability for afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Join Key Assets New Zealand and help uphold the mana of tamariki and rangatahi. This role focuses on supporting mātua whāngai (foster carers) and whānau to provide safe, nurturing environments for mokopuna, and preventing children from entering care where possible.

Key aspects of the role:

• Assess and support foster carers and whānau
• Provide coaching and practical guidance for behavioural and emotional needs
• Work directly with mokopuna and their whānau in a systemic model
  Collaborate with clinical and practice teams to integrate therapeutic strategies

What we’re looking for:

• Registered Social Worker (or equivalent), ideally 2+ years’ experience
• Strong understanding of the care system
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Excellent documentation and time-management skills
