Whānau Support Worker – Emergency Care Programme

Key Assets New Zealand is seeking a Whānau Support Worker to support mokopuna and mātua whāngai during emergency and short‑term care placements.

This hands‑on role focuses on providing practical, day‑to‑day support in caregivers’ homes, helping stabilise placements and promote routines, wellbeing, and connection during times of transition. Working closely with social workers and the wider care team, you’ll model trauma‑informed and culturally responsive practice grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We’re looking for someone who is calm, relational and flexible, with experience supporting tamariki, rangatahi or whānau. A full NZ driver licence and flexible availability are required. Formal qualifications are valued, but life experience and strong values are equally important.
