Pink Day at Key Assets

Kia ora koutou.

October was breast cancer awareness month. On the 29th of October Key Assets had a€˜Wear it Pink Day’ for cares and staff. It was a gold coin donation. Tom and Abby pitched in with the decoration while Mariesa, Holly (baked cupcakes and weetbix slice yum!) and Kat organised the food, while our carer Colleen brought in some of her home made cupcakes drool… We had so much food, so Kat went and invited the staff from the offices next door! We were expecting perhaps 2-4 people, but to our surprise a dozen or more came from both offices. It was a fantastic turn out and Key Assets staff had the opportunity to chat and mingle with our guests who we usually only see during the building fire drill!!

Angie then took some of the left-over food to her Child Youth and Family meeting and came back with empty food containers and more money for our fund raising basket. Angie sent an application away with one lady and we made about $120 dollars. Thanks you to all those who came and donated their gold coins! We had a great day.
