Staff Profiles
Angie Simpson - Director
Angie is originally from Liverpool in England. She is a qualified Social Worker with a Post Grad in applied Social Work and Social Work management.
Angie has worked with children and young people for over 20 years, holding management positions for the last 10 years.
Angie was appointed as the Director of Key Assets at the beginning of 2008, and currently oversees the recruitment and assessment of foster carers.
Wayne Ferguson - Assistant Director
Wayne is originally from sunny Durban in South Africa and has also lived and worked in England before moving to New Zealand in 2006. He is a graduate with an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.
Wayne has worked with children, young people and their families for the past 15 years, holding management and leadership positions for the last 6 years.
Wayne is the Assistant Director of Key Assets.
Louise Burton - Supervising Social Worker
Louise is originally from England and qualified as a social worker 20 years ago. Since qualifying she has worked with children, young people and their families. For the last ten years she has specialised in fostering both in England and New Zealand.
Louise started working for Key Assets as an independent assessor in 2009 and in 2010 she took on the position of Recruitment and Panel Manager, and now holds the position of Supervising Social Worker. She is very proud of working for a child focused agency that truly values and supports the work of foster carers.
Sam Anapa - Administrator
Sam joined the Key Assets team in January 2008. Sam has a background in finance and catering.
Sam is the voice of Key Assets managing the reception and first contact with prospective foster carers and Social Workers seeking placements.
Fi Lankshear - Support Worker
Fi is originally from Nelson and has worked with children and young people for many years as an outdoor activity instructor. Fi has also worked within the Ministry of Education supporting school placements.
At Key Assets, Fi heads up the team of support workers, working with the children and young people and their families, and will take a lead on supporting school placements and leading activity groups and events.
Mariesa Williams - Supervising Social Worker
Mariesa is from Ngai Te Rangi and Tuhoe descent. She joined Key Assets in June 08 as a Supervising Social Worker. Mariesa has a wealth of experience in community work with children and young people and their family and whanau. Mariesa has a Diploma in Social Work.
Mariesa's main role is to supervise our caregivers, ensure the quality of the care provided, and reporting on the progress and development of children and young people.
